Dr Pushpinder Singh Mehta is working as Associate Consultant in Pain Medicine at the prestigious Indian Spinal Injuries Centre. With a DNB post graduation in anaesthesiology, he has undergone training in Pain Management (PDCC Pain Management & Palliative care) at Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, which has the oldest running Pain Clinic in India.
Dr Pushpinder Singh Mehta has won some national accolades like Alok Saxena award for best poster presentation on Percutaneous balloon compression for Trigeminal Neuralgia at ISSP (Indian society for study of pain) conference in Nagpur in 2013.
He is a member of various professional societies such as Indian Society for study of pain (ISSP) and Indian Society of Anaesthesia.

He won Alok Saxena Award for best poster presentation titled “An initial experience with percutaneous balloon compression for Trigeminal neuralgia” for original research in Chronic Neuropathic pain at the 28th Annual National Conference of Indian Society for the Study of Pain (ISSP) held at Nagpur from 1st – 3rd February, 2013
Research and Teaching
He has a published paper as first author titled “Randomized double-blind comparison of ketamine-propofol with fentanyl-propofol and propofol alone for LMA insertion conditions and hemodynamic stability” in SAARC journal of anaesthesia in January 2010.
He has a co-author in a study titled “A comparison of Truview infant EVO2 laryngoscope with the Miller blade in neonates and infants” conducted at LHMC & Kalawati Saran childrens hospital and published in International journal of Paediatric Anaesthesia 2009; volume 19, pg 338-342.
He has a co-author in another scientific paper titled “Comparison of caudal clonidine and morphine along with bupivacaine for upper abdominal surgeries” published in British Journal of Anaesthesia 2010; doi: 10.1093/aeq274 Pg 1-5
He has presented a case report on “LMA Obstruction: A novel cause” at the monthly meeting of ISA Delhi chapter held at LHMC & SSK hospital in March 2009.
